We talk a lot about avoiding foods and ingredients that may disrupt our gut—but there’s another important question: Are you feeding the good bacteria?

The problem lies in our own body’s ability to handle sugar, and our MOOD can be massively affected by the spiking and crashing of our blood sugar. Guess what types of foods spike & crash your blood sugar:  processed carbs/sugars, foods that have no fiber and foods that have no protein, can anyone say pop-tarts, donuts, pizza and hot pockets?!   The longer we've eaten this way, the more metabolically inflexible the body becomes and the more issues you have with spikes, crashes and the resulting instability of your mood!
