SoftWave Maintenance Visits

Maintenance sessions help keep the healing momentum going! After completing the initial 6-8 weeks of SoftWave Therapy, patients often experience significant pain reduction, improved mobility, and decreased inflammation. A Maintenance Visits helps sustain these benefits by providing periodic treatments to ensure the continued health of tissues and joints.

1.         Maintaining Pain Reduction: Continued therapy helps keep pain levels low and prevents the return of chronic discomfort.

2.         Sustaining Healing: Regular sessions support ongoing tissue repair and regeneration, ensuring that the healing process remains active.

3.         Inflammation Control: Boost visits help manage inflammation, which is crucial for patients with higher inflammatory conditions, degeneration, arthritis, tendinitis or bursitis.

4.         Improved Mobility: Regular treatments help maintain flexibility and range of motion, which is particularly beneficial for active individuals.

How often would I need Maintenance Visits?

The frequency of maintenance SoftWave sessions is entirely patient-dependent. Your specific case, level of severity, your goals, and preferences play a role.  Some patients may not require any at all, while others choose to receive them periodically to maintain their health and well-being.

SoftWave Therapy FAQ

  • Painful Joints: knees, shoulders, elbows, ankles, feet, wrists, etc.
  • Incredible alternative to cortisone shots, Rx pain meds & other invasive measures
  • Spinal injuries and chronic pain in neck, midback and lower back, disc issues of any kind
  • Soft Tissue injuries: ligaments, muscles, tendons, fascia
  • Chronically inflamed sinuses
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Post-surgical joints with hardware still present (i.e. knee/hip replacements, ankles, etc.)
  • Your first visit takes around 30 minutes because you’ll meet with the Dr. and our SoftWave Tech to answer all of your questions and make sure you are a good candidate for SoftWave.
  • Subsequent appointments can take anywhere from 10-15 minutes depending on how many body parts you’re having treated, the actual SoftWave treatment itself is only 2-3 minutes.

Those soundwaves are rapidly expanding and contracting cells, with each soundwave travelling over 3000mph! This has an amazing effect in the body:

  • It drives down inflammation
  • It triggers the body to create new blood flow to the area (angiogenesis)
  • It wakes up your body’s own stem cells to come to that exact area & begins/continues the healing process…which means it speeds up your body’s healing in an amazing way!

If you have a good “response” to the treatment – This means that you “feel” the soundwaves in whatever body part we are scanning.  You’ll be amazed at how just ¼” you’ll feel it intensely, then feel nothing right beside it.  This means that our SoftWave machine is detecting exactly where the most inflammation is located, where there is any sort of damage to the tissue and helps us to be very specific with our treatments.

You have to feel it to heal it!  This means the treatment itself can be intense but it’s definitely tolerable and only lasts 2-3 minutes.  Our SoftWave Tech is right there to turn the intensity up or down depending on your tolerance.

  • It depends on your specific injury/condition, your age, and how long it’s been there
  • For acute injuries (especially for younger athletes) we’ll do 2x/week for 3-4 weeks
  • For more chronic conditions we’ll recommend 1x/week for 8 weeks
  • The Dr. will determine what recommendation we give depending on your individual situation
  • As you improve and your body is healing, you’ll notice that you can tolerate more intensity

Sometimes people feel better after just the Discovery Scan alone!  But, most of the time healing…guess what…takes time.  From your first treatment you will see the maximum results at the 12 week mark.  The more consistent you are with your care, the better results you get as time goes on.  So, initially most people will come 1/week for 8 weeks, and even after that for the following 4 weeks following their care plan…your healing continues!!

  • Most chronic conditions (i.e. arthritis, post-surgical joints, partially or fully torn ligaments, etc.) will do brilliantly if you choose to do maintenance after your initial 8 weeks of care
  • Consistent maintenance care can look like 1/month or even 1 visit every 2-3 months
  • You can also choose to do maintenance treatments as needed and without a set schedule
