If you really think about it, what we call “health care” in America is really sick care.  Modern medical practices and insurance companies call early detection “prevention”, which is not the same thing.  Allopathic care (the traditional medical paradigm) is based around treating symptoms that are present.  Don’t misunderstand me here, we can all be VERY thankful for medical advances that save lives in emergency situations and in other contexts!  I love this quote from a medical doctor in Ohio:

“Western medicine does acute care phenomenally…But we’re still struggling a bit with our chronic-care patients and this (using natural options like herbs and nutrition) fills in that gap and can be used concurrently,” says Melissa Young, an integrative medicine physician at Cleveland Clinic.

The good news is that more and more people are learning that we have choices and that we have the freedom to choose our own path in HEALTH care.  Perhaps the most important thing for you to remember is that YOU GET TO MAKE CHOICES…IT’S YOUR BODY!  Chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, or even mental illness do not have to be a sentence for a miserable existence any longer!  Even issues like chronic digestive issues, headaches or pain have amazing alternatives to be healed.  What I want you to take away from this article is that HEALTH care is about healing your body from the inside out.  Health cannot come from a pill.  There are no “magic” ways to get well.  It takes time and it takes effort on your part, but GETTING & STAYING WELL IS WORTH IT!!!
