In the Bible, James 1:17 AMP says:

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].

Christmastime is when the birth of Christ is celebrated. We exchange gifts with one another because wise men brought gifts to Jesus after He was born. The Bible tells us that God knows how to give good gifts to His children. But perhaps the most significant of His gifts is His grace.  I need it, you need it, we all need it…and the deliverer of this gift was the baby that was born in Bethlehem, who grew into a man and laid down His life for all of us, so that we could be saved. His life, death, and resurrection is the most precious Gift that has ever been given. Have you opened it yet?

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God…(Ephesians 2:8 AMP)
