I want to share a Psalm that has meant so much to me recently, particularly around the subject matter of needing help. Where do you go for help? Hopefully you have a strong support group around you for emotional support, and we hope you know anything we can do here at Clearview to be of help to you, we will do. But this question, the one I’m getting at, goes deeper than that. What about when you need help understanding something? Or maybe you need wisdom knowing how to handle a particular situation at work or with your children? What about making a decision that will affect your future or your health or your relationships? Do you lift your eyes to the hills…meaning do you know that the LORD GOD waits for us to lift our eyes to look for Him. He really is our great Hope and our great Help. Listen to how the Psalmist puts it in Psalm 121…and turn it into a prayer if you need it.
Psalm 121 I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from Yehovah, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 Yehovah is your keeper.Yehovah is your shade on your right hand. 6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.7 Yehovah will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. 8 Yehovah will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
