What a wonderful time of year this is! Have you noticed all the bluebonnets? It just reminds us that following the Winter, Spring always comes. Life goes on and its cycles continue. If you’re feeling like the winter won’t end, just hang on because the blossoms of Springtime are on the way! God’s creation is always moving, always changing, always in motion. Seeds must die in order to sprout. Ground must break for the sprouts to shoot upward toward the sunshine. Vines must be pruned back in order to bear more fruit. It’s in the dying, breaking, and pruning that the evidence of life really comes through…but it’s not easy. The hard seasons are often the ones that end up ultimately bringing the most beauty. Jesus’s hardest day on earth is what brought us forgiveness and the ability to be saved from our sin. John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came that we might have LIFE and LIFE more abundantly! What better time than the week after we celebrate His Resurrection to realize that. Springtime reveals life to us; my prayer is that we, as humans in need of a Savior, will turn to Jesus so that His life can be revealed in us. The Apostle Paul said,“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20) Oh what a beautiful Savior! Oh what joy awaits those who are willing to be set free!
