We are living in significant days, I would even say critical days. There are polarizing subjects with extremely polarized opinions almost everywhere you turn. Yet, in the midst of all the chaos and uncertainty, if you believe in God’s Word and you’ve read the prophets who spoke about the end days like Joel and Jeremiah and Amos and Daniel (just to name a few) and most definitely in the book of Revelation…we know that these things are not totally shocking. Yeshua (Jesus) told us in Matthew 24 to expect some of this as just the “beginnings” of the birth pains. But, there’s this one statement He made that I’ve been thinking about quite a lot lately, found in Luke 18 wedged right in between 2 parables He told about prayer. He says in Luke 18:8, “When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of realities not seen.” He is coming soon, and the question is: Are we going to be ready? Is He going to find us faithful? Are we those who will endure to the end or be part of the great falling away? Will we allow our love to grow cold or will we continue to love our neighbor the way we’ve been commanded? Will we be like those in the days of Noah who did not understand until the flood came and swept them away, or will we be those who have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying? My prayer is that we’ll be willing to have ears to hear, that we’ll be those who set our faces like flint to endure whatever comes, to overcome by walking in obedience to our awesome Creator who loved us and gave His life for us. The last 2 verses in the Bible: Revelation 22:20-21 “The One giving testimony to these things says, “Yes! I am coming soon!” Amen! Come, Lord Yeshua! May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!”
