It has been said that getting enough fiber is one of the best ways to CLEANSE your body.  And it’s true!  If you’re not getting enough fiber, it can lead to a colon that is ‘junked up’ with debris that needs to move out, but can’t on its own.  Fiber helps keep blood sugar in check, can lower LDL cholesterol most commonly linked with heart disease, and amongst the other benefits can help in your weight loss journey over time because it helps your stomach feel satiated longer.  Here are some great ways to get more fiber into your diet via healthy foods.

I’m always a fan of getting your nutrients from actual food as much as you can.  Please beware of any fiber supplements that contain methylcellulose (synthetic cellulose), calcium polycarbophil or wheat dextrin, as they provide no food value or nutrients at all.  If you deal with constipation, you might try adding Organic whole-leaf Aloe Vera to your routine, and making sure you’re getting plenty of Magnesium in your diet, too.
