In a world where things seem increasingly “upside down & backwards”…There is One who does not change, One whose ways are right and His statutes, ordinances, and instructions are life and blessing to us (Deut 30). The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is great and greatly to be praised. I wonder if these words from King David in Psalm 103 might encourage us today, because this God who is the same yesterday, today and forever is the same One David wrote about here, and He desires that ALL would repent, come to Him, and walk in His ways.
Praise Yehovah, my soul! All that is within me, praise His holy name!
Praise Yehovah, my soul, and don’t forget all His benefits,
Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Yehovah executes righteous acts, and justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the children of Israel.
Yehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness.
He will not always accuse, neither will He stay angry forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His loving kindness toward those who fear Him.
