I was reading Psalm 42 this weekend, and there are 2 verses within that Psalm which are very similar, and I think will give both comfort and encouragement to us whenever our own souls feel this way.  There is no doubt that the world around us feels unstable and insane at times, and increasingly so it seems by the day…how then do we navigate the days ahead and remain faithful?  Yeshua (Jesus) asked when He returns, “Will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8) We must continually put our HOPE in the only One who is worthy of it, and the only One who is trustworthy, and bring Him the praise that is due His Name. Listen to what the Psalmist says:

Psalm 42:5 Why are you in despair, my soul?  Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God!  For I shall still praise Him for the saving help of His presence.

Psalm 42:11 Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me?
Hope in God! For I shall still praise Him, the saving help of my countenance, and my God.
