Another health-supporting practice I’ve been implementing in my own journey of healing has to do with using castor oil packs!  Castor oil comes from castor beans and it’s not new by any means…it’s actually been used for hundreds of years for different healing purposes!  The primary way I’ve used castor oil is with packs where you apply it directly to your skin, and allow the oil to soak in.

Castor oil can benefit gut-healing, balance hormones, detoxing and supporting proper liver function, normalizing lymphatic flow and relieving constipation.  

Research studies have found that castor oil contains therapeutic components including fatty acids, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, amino acids, terpenoids and phytosterols.

When our bodies are inflamed & stressed (most of us are dealing with these 2 issues on a fairly significant level); it makes it almost impossible for our gut, our hormones and our natural detox pathways to function normally.  Castor oil packs are one way to support all 3 of these systems in our bodies.
