In a world that sometimes feels like up is down and down is called up, there is one thing that remains unshakable, giving us a continual guide for TRUTH. It’s God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures, otherwise known as the Bible. The Apostle Paul said, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work (2nd Timothy 3:16-17).” I can certainly testify that studying the Bible has changed my life, and continually transforms my own heart almost every single day. I was reading in the Psalms with my little boy tonight as I put him to bed; Psalm 119 is one of our very favorites! Enjoy these beautiful truths from Psalm 119:9-16:
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word.
10 With my whole heart, I have sought You. Don’t let me wander from Your commandments.
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, Yehovah. Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips,I have declared all the ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts, and consider Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes.I will not forget Your word.
