Whoa, what a question, right?  What is it that can make a person strong in the spirit?  I don’t think it happens by luck or by accident.  I believe that anyone who wants to be strong in the LORD is invited to, but just like anything else…it takes a willing heart to do something different, taking deliberate steps, and saying no to the things that would defeat you and yes to the things that God tells us to do.

Paul exhorts us in his letter to the Ephesians (chapter 6) to “Be strong in the LORD and in His mighty power.”  Then, he follows that sentence with this:  “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints…” (emphasis mine)

Did you notice all the action words in there?  If you’re feeling weak in the flesh, you are invited to make the decision to do something different today.  The first step is repentance, come into agreement with God over any way that you’ve sinned & turn from it.  Ask Yeshua (Jesus) for help, give your life to Him completely (He is the ONLY way to God the Father); and if you already have done that, just come back to Him and begin to follow Him. Pray; it doesn’t require fancy words, just honesty.  Read your Bible, start at the beginning and just watch how faithful and powerful God is to redeem His people. You are not alone, draw near to God and He will draw near to you!!
