The thought hit me so hard this morning, waking up in a new calendar year –
WHO are YOU surrendered to?
It might be the most important question you can ask yourself as 2026 begins. There are a billion different possibilities you might answer, but honestly and truly there is only 1 answer that is for your good. Surrender to the Most High God, Yehovah (or Yahweh, however you want to pronounce His true Name), the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, and His Son, Yeshua our Messiah, Jesus the Christ, the One who gave His life for you and ever lives to make intercession for you. When we surrender our lives fully and completely to HIM alone, that is when we begin to walk in the life we were truly meant to have. We cannot afford to waste our time on setting goals for our lives that the One True God does not have for us. And, oh yes, He cares about the trajectory of your life. He cares for the lilies of the field and the birds of the air; Yeshua taught us that He cares MORE for me & for you, for your spouse, for your family, for the details of your life. Surrender to Yehovah today, there is no better time than now! Give your life to Yeshua (Jesus) as the LORD of your life, it means He gets the primary position of focus and worship and bowing of your knees.
To what or whom have you been bowing your knee? Fear, anger, wounds from past relationships, demonic influences of sexual sin, idolatry, addiction, pride? If you look back over 2025, do you see more right or wrong, light or darkness? ANY of those evil things can be taken from you, if you will give them up to the Lord and ask Him for forgiveness. Renounce what is killing you, renounce the things that have a hold on you, and give your life fully and completely to Yeshua, Who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lord, He is willing and waiting for your surrender to Him today, SO THAT you might be free, SO THAT you can walk in forgiveness and freedom from torment and the weight of the world no longer on your shoulders. His yoke is easy and His burden is light, so take Him up on His offer to take away your sins and make you white as snow. Today is the day, do not harden your heart any longer, let go of what is behind and reach for the hem of His robe and be cleansed and made whole again to walk as a new person. He is not slow as men count slowness, but His desire is that everyone come to repentance.
Father in Heaven, I need Your help, I have sinned, I have let satan have more influence over me than You, and I renounce all agreements I have made with the devil in my life. I renounce the lies that I have believed, I renounce the evil that I have loved and the evil that I have done. I renounce the things I’ve allowed into my life and the life of my family that have brought destruction and chaos. You are the Creator of the world, and You have invited me to surrender my life, and right now, by the power of the blood of Jesus which He shed on the cross for me, and the power that You raised Him from the dead, I ask you to raise my life out the pit and save me and heal my wounds. I give you every bit of my past, and all of my future. Teach me to walk in Your ways and to fear You alone, no longer fearing anything or anyone else. I belong to You, God, I surrender my life to You, and I ask You to write my name in the Lamb’s book of life and help me to obey You and follow Yeshua, my Messiah, all the days of my life so that I might live a life holy and pleasing to You. Forgive my sins and give me victory over every temptation. I want to love You with all of my heart, mind, and strength and I want to love my neighbor as myself, and I need You to cleanse me and renew my mind. Thank you, Yeshua for the love with which You have loved me, and every time I have refused You, forgive me and cleanse completely me now. Amen.
