Let me be clear from the start—I don’t believe in the so-called Cold/Flu Season—although I fully understand people get sick more often this time of year. It’s mostly because I don’t subscribe to the Germ-Theory of disease. I do not think people ever get sick exclusively because germs are more prevalent. We are all given an immune system to fight off disease and dysfunction, and literally from the very beginning of our lives, our immune systems are either strengthened or weakened. This is why 1 person can get sick in a family and 3 stay well.  Same germs…different immune responses. I believe that cold/flu season is more about typical American cultural habits tanking peoples’ already struggling immune systems even more, because of what they’re eating and stress rising during the upcoming holidays.  

I want to briefly discuss how one could obtain a really robust immune system from the beginning—and you decide how many people actually get this kind of start!  Moms who don’t take medications, vaccines nor antibiotics during pregnancy set their babies up for a much stronger immune system.  Vaginal delivery without meds nor antibiotics are the next step to building a thriving immune system, then breast-feeding for a least 1 year and longer, add to that very delayed introduction of white flour & processed sugar into the child’s diet, and avoidance of vaccines, antibiotics and glyphosate-ridden foods which all damage the gut terribly.
