Dr. Erica & I are constantly reminding you to be sure you’re getting sufficient amounts of Electrolytes & Minerals daily. Typically, we’re seeing tight muscles and you’re feeling muscle tightness and/or muscle cramps that spur us onto that conversation.
But, did you know that minerals and electrolytes play a major rolein your body’s ability to detox, digest & absorb other nutrients, your hydration, and the balance your mood, hormones? Dehydration is highly linked to headaches & migraines among so many other health issues. Drinking plain water is not enough, especially when you consider how huge percentages of Americans are already deficient in Magnesium & Potassium.
Here are all the electrolytes humans need: Sodium (which most people get copious amounts of if you eat processed foods), Potassium, Magnesium, Chloride, and Calcium.
And unfortunately, products like “Pedialyte” and other electrolyte drinks (i.e. Gatorade, Powerade, etc.) are LOADED with TOXIC artificial sweeteners, dyes & flavors. Please DO NOT drink these!!
Here’s what we recommend—a really good, clean salt like Real Salt, or Baja Gold Sea Salt added to your water each morning (1 pinch should be fine). These are 3rd party tested for purity.
