Our Fall Schedule always looks a little different here at Clearview! Since 2018, my family and I have celebrated the holidays written about in the Bible (also known as the LORD’s Feast Days or Holy Days in Leviticus 23)! Most Christians have been taught that these are for Jewish people only, and it is absolutely correct that most commonly people of Jewish faith or descent are the ones who celebrate these. However, there are massive growing numbers of Christians, people who follow Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah, Son of the Living God, who memorialize and celebrate these Biblical holy days, too! There are many resources out there to make a case as to why followers of Yeshua (Jesus) may want to dig a little deeper into the actual origins of the “newer” Christian holidays which the Catholic Church instituted beginning circa 336 A.D. Dr. Laura Sanger has a few articles that are a great starting point for looking into the facts pertaining to Christmas and Easter.
The Biblical holy days are some of the most fascinating and wonderful ways to get to know God and His purposes on earth even better. In Leviticus 23:2,God Himself calls these holy days His own appointed times! They are the holidays Yeshua (Jesus) Himself celebrated! So, if you care to learn more, I’ll share some neat things about these appointed times that God set up for His people to REMEMBER Him and to REMEMBER His goodness all throughout the year under the calendars below.
The Spring feasts were filled with ultimate meaning and purpose in the first coming of Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ);
- Passover/ Unleavened Bread (when Yeshua was crucified)
- First Fruits (the day He was resurrected)
- Shavuot (“Feast of Weeks” in Hebrew is known as “Pentecost” in the Greek language, the day the Holy Spirit was given in Acts 2, when they were all gathered in Jerusalem), Shavuot is also the same time on the Biblical calendar (Exodus 19) when the Torah (God’s covenantal instructions) was given to Moses on Mt. Sinai)
The Fall feasts on God’s calendar really seem to point to the prophecies that remain to be fulfilled when He Returns!
Here is a breakdown of Sept-Nov what days we’ll be on our normal schedule with both doctors, which days are 1 doctor, and days we’ll be CLOSED.

Tuesday, September 23rd Feast of Trumpets (“Yom Teruah” in Hebrew, also known as the day of “sounding the trumpet” or “making a noise”) found in Leviticus 23:23-25 and Numbers 29:1; this is a special day of rest or Sabbath (which is why our office will be CLOSED). This feast has been known through the ages as one you “don’t know the exact day or hour” because it’s a Hebrew idiom used when looking for the new moon…some Bible students may recognize that phraseology because Jesus actually uses it when speaking of His return!! Matthew 24:29-39, Matthew 25:13, Mark 13:28-37, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11, and Revelation 16:15

Thursday, October 2nd Day of Atonement (‘Yom Kippur’ or ‘Yom haKippurim’ in Hebrew, the one day in the year when the High Priest went behind the veil in the Temple into the Holy of Holies) This day reminds us that the High Priest was only allowed 1 day per year to offer blood of animal sacrifices to atone for or redeem the peoples’ sin. We all have sinned and fallen short, but the glorious truth is that our sins can be forgiven and completely washed away by repenting and turning to God! There is a day coming in the future, called Judgement Day, and if our sins are not covered we will have to answer. Praise God there is a way to stand free of sin and guilt by accepting forgiveness from God through His Son, Yeshua (Jesus)! Lev. 23:26-32, 1 John 4:10, Hebrews 10:1-16
October 7th – 14th Feast of Tabernacles (“Sukkot” in Hebrew meaning “booths”) This Feast is the great celebration lasting 8 days! It represents a time of renewed fellowship with God, remembering His sheltering provision and care for us whether we are in a desert-place or in a place of abundance, either way He is the source of all we need. It’s celebrated by staying in a temporary dwelling, feasting, rejoicing, giving thanks to God for His provision; it’s a time of celebrating the ingathering of the final harvest of the year; looking forward to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. Leviticus 23:33-43, Deuteronomy 16:13, Zechariah 14:16-17, John 7:1-24

My family’s trip to Israel was rescheduled from June to the first part of November. Dr. Erica will be working our full schedule during the time I’m gone. We just have a limited openings when we have just 1 doctor adjusting. Be sure to schedule ahead!
Whenever and whatever you and your family choose to celebrate, we pray it will be a blessed time of year, where you seek God with all of your heart. He promises to be found by you when you seek Him with your whole heart. There’s never been a better time than right now!!
