If we would (or even could) all raise our own beef on organic grass, pasture-roaming chickens for eggs, gardens full of produce, soil teeming with nutrients, and avoid modern day chemicals…we might not need to supplement anything at all! Imagine living in Greece where your own backyard is home to multiple olive trees where you harvest yearly to produce your family’s own olive oil. We can all imagine the ways we wish we lived more naturally or closer to the way God intended humans to eat…but we here we are, by providence or choice in North TX, so how do we do the BEST with what we have? We bring in those nutrients we need from either foods or supplements!! Here’s our all-time TOP 3:
Brain/Skin/Heart Health. Omega-3 fatty acid rich Fish Oil from super-clean sources & 3rd party tested (Innate Choice is our favorite). Most people DO NOT get nearly enough Omega 3, especially in comparison to Omega 6, so we need to supplement this one. Quality matters…it should NEVER taste or smell like fish, that means it’s rancid.
Gut Health. All-time BEST way to help your gut is to make your own sauerkraut (All the pre- and pro-biotics we desperately need) -or- buy raw, organic at the store (HEB Organics is a good one, no other ingredients besides organic cabbage and salt). Not a sauerkraut lover?? Me either…so in this case, just take a really high-quality probiotic capsule (Innate Choice or Orthomolecular are our favorites, we have them at Clearview).
Cellular Health. Minerals regulate nearly every cellular process, including energy production, nerve signaling, hydration, hormone function, detoxification, and tissue repair. Use high-quality sea salt, add it to your food, put a pinch in your water, and take minerals like ION or BEAM to get the full amount you need daily. One of our eldest patients at Clearview (in her 90’s!!) told me 2 weeks ago that BEAM Minerals have her feeling like “her old self again!” How cool is that?! Our bodies REQUIRE nutrients!!
