- Fluoride – watch for it in tap water, toothpaste & dental visits. Easy ways to fix? Filter it out of any water at home, fluoride-free toothpastes & just kindly ask the dental staff NOT to use fluoride with your family. Cavities are NOT caused by a deficiency in a known neurotoxin (fluoride).
- Food Dyes – if it’s unnaturally bright, it’s not right. Horrific effects from behavior, to concentration to gut health.
- Artificial Sweeteners – Aspartame, Sucralose, Saccharin, Acesulfame; these are hidden at the bottom of most ingredient lists and incredibly detrimental to our brains.
- Seed oils – Canola, Soybean, Corn, Cottonseed, Grapeseed, and Peanut oils are incredibly inflammatory to our bodies. Use a good quality olive oil or avocado oil instead.
- Processed Sugars – AVOID high fructose corn syrup; switch to maple syrup or date sugar, bake things at home, say NO to processed desserts (i.e. Little Debbie snacks). If you don’t have these things available, it’s amazing how those addictions begin to break. Balance your child’s blood sugar (and yours) and watch how behaviors calm and happiness takes over!
