Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”  The Apostle Paul said this to Timothy.  It’s found in the letter Paul wrote recorded in the Bible in 1 Timothy 4:8. I want so much for y’all to know what it takes in order for your body to be healthy; it’s an enormous part of why people come to Clearview.  People want to know how to be healthy and actually have the support to walk it out.  But, here is the absolute truth: taking care of our physical bodies (physical training) IS NOT the highest priority for our lives.  It IS important, goodness knows I believe that and I have a passion to help people honor their bodies and be healed by all manner of valuable physical lifestyle choices.  But, the MORE important thing is that we are training our minds, our hearts, our spirits for godliness.  Why?  Why?  Why?  Because Paul says it, “promises benefits in this life and in the life to come.”  I believe from the absolute deepest part of my being that what the Bible says is true.  When we die we will come face to face with our Creator, and that there is no other Name by which a human being can be saved.  It’s Jesus Christ alone.  If you reject Him, you are rejecting salvation. In Acts chapter 4 verse 12, the Bible tells us that “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”  We are only saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus, and then we follow Jesus and His ways.  That’s how we learn and become trained in godliness.  Following Jesus is how we get to receive God’s benefits not only now but also after these physical bodies die.  Our lives are so short; we are not guaranteed another breath.  If you do not know Jesus, if you are in doubt about how to know Him and be saved, please do not wait.  Our time is too short to waste.  Your salvation is everything.  Do not waste another moment wondering where you will spend eternity.  Do not waste another moment thinking that the priority of your life is something other than glorifying God who created you.  Yes, do physical training to be healthy! Yes, work out, stretch, get adjusted, eat real food, take your supplements, drink water, plenty of rest and sleep, and think on things that are lovely, right and true.  But, do not neglect the salvation of your soul and do not neglect training in godliness, which are even more important…
